Storm and Disaster Recovery Related Bio & Work History
This beautiful journey through the storm and disaster recovery world started when I was hired away from my normal avocation to help run the office at K&K Disaster Services inc.
Out of necessity, I was taxed with an extra job title as field supervisor while also managing the day to day office needs.
Forced to learn quickly, I developed my managing and critical thinking skills to accomodate my new ecosystem. Doing both office work and field work was especially challenging, however, the task proved to be groundbreaking in that I developed systems and processes unsean at that time in our respective industry.
Being able to track crews, trucks and load tickets in a mobile environment was, at that time, unheard of and these new, faster and mobile techniques were proven time and again.
Since the K&K days I've worked as a contractor providing similar services to multiple clients including my former employer K&K Disaster Services.
Some of my clients and prime contractors that have benefitted from my experience are: DRC, SLS, Cahaba Disaster, KDF, Phillips and Jordan, Ceres, DSW, Arkansas Game and Fish , BP Oil, GLO, RPF, Army Corps of Engineers, Yates Construction etc,.
Huricane Clean up projects that I've been involved with include, Katrina, Gustav, Ike, Wilma, Sandy, Irene, Harvey, Maria, Michael, Laura, Zeta and more with special note to the BP oil spill.
Ice storms, floods and high wind scenorios also falls into the storm and disaster related endeavors which have their own devistations and challenges.Though they may not have names associated with them they are equally devistating to the communities they fall upon and create special and unique challenges as well.
